Painting a Flag

After priming the flag, the blue stripes are sketched out with a pencil to identify their position.
The blue stripes are then filled in, shaded, and highlighted.
Next, the red field is filled in, shaded, and highlighted. The white border which surrounds the stripes will be painted next, so it's not necessary to be extremely careful at this early stage. All we need to do now is put the main colors in the correct places.
In this step, we frame the blue stripes with white, again adding shadows and highlights.
